Staying on the same premises, I’m always here to help with tips on day tours, car rentals, restaurant bookings, and even airport pickups at an affordable rate. My goal is to make every guest feel at home at Aloha Lodge. And, if you are a pet lover our two adorable cats Molly and Mickey will be there for a cuddle! Hope to see you all soon! Come and let the sun shine through your heart!

Hiking around Cape Town
If I’m not on my bicycle or walk along Milnerton Beach the mountain is my happy place, too. You’ll find me hiking up:
Lion’s Head, over & over again
Always best to hike with at least one other person.
360 degree view, not to be missed.
Fairly easy hike of approx a total 2.5hrs.
Best at sunrise or sunset with full moon approaching.
Kloof corner, further along Contour Path towards Platteklip Gorge
It’s a mix & match depending on your fitness & companions you either walk down at Platteklip and call it a day or if you’re energised enough you’ll conquer the Gorge up to Table Mountain.
Easy hike option takes 2hrs
The hike up to Table Mountain approx. 3.5hrs if the cable car takes you back down. One way fee R 280.
Kasteelspoort Hike, starting from upper Camps Bay
A hike I haven’t done often but very good memories of it.
It’s a rather strenuous hike of 6.5 km and takes approx. 4.5hrs
Beautiful views to Lion’s Head & Camps Bay
Don’t miss the photo stop at the famous Diving Board!

Where we are
Milnerton is a charming Cape Town suburb on the Atlantic Ocean, just west of the city bowl. It's perfect for beach walks, especially at sunset with Table Mountain as your backdrop. The Milnerton Lighthouse area is great for relaxing, and Bossa is a local favorite for its mountain views. This area is a haven for golfers and water sports enthusiasts, with windsurfing, surfing, kiting, and kayaking drawing in both locals and visitors.
Century City, with its elegant Conference Centre and the vast Canal Walk shopping mall, is nearby. For adventure enthusiasts, CityRock climbing gym, Bloc 11 bouldering gym, The Shred skate park, and The Epic Padel Club—are all close by in Paarden Eiland, easily accessible by the MyCiti bus.
Montague Gardens, a hub for many businesses and rope access courses, is also nearby, making us an ideal base. Plus, GrandWest Casino is just a 20-minute drive away!
Frequently asked Questions
Do we need to rent a car to get around in Cape Town?
Not necessarily, UBER takes you everywhere at an affordable rate. Our MyCiti bus service as the public transport option is a reliable alternative with the bus station being 2 minutes away.
How far away is the beach?
The closest is Lagoon Beach, a 10 min walk away while Milnerton Beach with its Lighthouse can be reached in 20 min or under 5 min if you prefer to use the car.
Do you allow pets at your premises?
Regrettably not, even though we love animals we have pets of our own and cannot accommodate yours.
Can we walk to Cape Town City Centre?
We’re only 8 km away from the CBD, however, as much tempting as it can be a walk, may it be along the ocean or along the main road is not possible. The harbour will restrict you from walking all the way as well as the highway N1.
Do you allow early and late check-in?
Some international airlines land either very early or rather late in Cape Town and with proactive upfront communication an early or a late check-in is accepted as long as arrival time is after 9 am or before midnight.
Can we check-out late?
In general check-out time is 11 am. If your room won’t be occupied same day or new guests arrive in the late evening you may stay until 2 pm allowing us to clean the room for the new arrival.
Do you offer day rooms?
Our minimum stay is 2 nights; hence no day room rental is available.
Do we need to bring our own towels?
We provide towels and liquid hand soap and kindly ask to bring your shampoo, shower gel and lotion along.
